Blur a photo before you share it

Cover phone numbers, faces, plates and account numbers with blur, pixelate or a solid box.

or drop it anywhere, or paste with CtrlV

Your image never leaves this device. Downloads drop EXIF data like GPS location.

How it works

  1. Open an image

Choose a file, drop it anywhere on the page or paste a screenshot. Your browser opens it on this device. Nothing is uploaded.

  2. Cover what matters

Pick the brush, a rectangle or an ellipse, then Blur, Pixelate or Solid. Undo and redo work as far back as you need.

  3. Copy or download

Copy it straight into a chat, or download a PNG, JPEG or WebP at full size. The new file carries no EXIF data.

What each effect protects

There is no automatic face or text detection. You choose what to cover, and each effect has limits worth knowing.

Solid
The safe choice for text: account numbers, names, addresses, codes. It replaces the pixels with one color, so there is nothing left to recover. A solid box also stays on top of any blur drawn over it later.
Pixelate
Good for faces and license plates. On small text, the blocks can sometimes be matched back to the original characters, so use Solid there.
Blur
The softest look, good for faces and backgrounds. Light blur on small text can sometimes be reversed or guessed. Turn the strength up, or use Solid for text.
